The perfect place to relax and enjoy that peaceful break, Malling West bed and breakfast near Aberfoyle is a 17th Century Cottage located in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in Central Scotland.
We are equidistant between the historic Port of Menteith and Aberfoyle in 4 acres of stunning south facing garden. Pine Marten, Otters, Red Squirrel, and more birds than we can list, are all regular visitors to our extensive gardens.
We have tastefully restored and sympathetically extended our beautiful cottage to the highest standards and benefit from being only 30 minutes from the historic City of Stirling and 1 hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports. We are also within an hour of Perth, making us a perfect base to explore central Scotland.
Malling West has two bedrooms.
Both our Family and King/twin have en-suite bathrooms with comfortable seating area, hospitality tray, hairdryer, etc.
Guests can enjoy a wide and varied breakfast to suit all tastes from Continental to a traditional full cooked Scottish breakfast ... with of course freshly brewed coffee or tea, all of which are served in our dining room overlooking the gardens.
Located on the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park......
and within a short distance of Scotland's only lake, the Lake of Menteith means we are perfect venue for walkers, cyclists and fishing enthusiasts. With that in mind we offer washing facilities and secure storage for your cycles rods and waders etc.
Eating out...
in the area is simple, we are just two miles from the villages of both Aberfoyle and Port of Menteith where you can choose from excellent pub grub to fine dining. For even more choice you could head for Callander with its wide and varied range of restaurants and bars - don't worry about having a drink as we can arrange a taxi for you.
Our varied breakfast menu is, for the most part, made up of Fare Trade and home grown seasonal produce.
Our Bed and Breakfast rate of £30.00 per person per night is based on two people sharing a room.
For 3 or more nights stay, there will be a reduction of £5 per room. Check in time is after 3pm and checkout is 10am on the day of departure unless by prior arrangement.
Sorry, but we are unable to accept pets at Malling West.
